"Arcanes & Sortilèges" is an ultra-melodic black metal album. In the tradition of the mid-90s it even spreads a positive atmosphere instead of pure evilness. Nevertheless it is full energy and really rousing. I needed some repeats to get used to the French vocals as the band used English lyrics on earlier albums but now it only contributes to the dense atmosphere and gives the album an special tone. "Oriflamme" or "Héraldique" are my recommenadtions to check this spheric album out!

A real stunner here. I love the immersion so much. Black metal with a really involved story line aspect. All the sounds coming out are just great all around. And Killer riffs, broad, pounding black metal goodness for the masses.
